About me and my homewares
These homewares are cast into moulds and then hand finished, including sealing to protect them. I use “eco” resin and micro concrete which result in a beautiful stone-like finish. You’ve got to pick them up to appreciate it fully - they feel so nice.
“Eco” resin is so-called because it’s non toxic and contains no VOCs unlike traditional resin. I add these quote marks because I’m not going to green wash you. I do dispose of waste responsibly and reuse what I can. I get my moulds second hand where I can, and from small businesses when I can’t, and they’re reusable.
I did my first craft markets for Christmas 2024 and I’m really proud to have been stocked by Wild & Rust in Henley and The Flower Tap in Witheridge Hill, and to be hosted by Nook in Marlow and The Flower Tap for workshops.
I was an English teacher for a long time and now I’m a full-time parent and part-time tutor and artist-maker.
My goal is to start teaching sewing too in the next year. Watch this space!
Here are some other makers you should visit - they’ve inspired me to try this and see where it leads me:
The Locket Room - one of my oldest friends, who finds, restores and fits lockets. They are beautiful. You won’t find better.
Katie Waggett - hilarious and gorgeous designs, and gives me the pushes I need to get to the craft fairs. Teaches amazing block printing workshops.
Make With Mandi for beautiful sewing patterns. She was part of the team that ran the Scrub Hub in my old area in the pandemic - amazing.
Molly Zacks - incredible macrame art, as well as gorgeous local Christmas gifts. Has given me great advice and also taught my family to make gorgeous collaged landscapes for a birthday party.
Oana - stunning beaded art. Incredible patience and vision and I love crafting alongside her.
Zoe of Wellgood Wellbeing. She first taught me to pour Jesmonite and got me teaching craft.
